iMAGER
New
Products Enable Web Portals, Site Designers, ISPs and individuals and to Offer Privately Labeled Photo Albums and E Commerce Catalogs
IRVINE, CALIFORNIA--November 18, 1999 -- thinGk.net, today announced the company is publishing the iMAGERTM service, a
Web-based image cataloging server for small and medium-sized service
providers and websites interested in creating vertical portals.
iMAGER extends thinGk.net's line of web components,
which include the company's Syndicator products, to include the evolving
use of the Internet as a platform for delivering applications.
iMAGER enables service providers to offer their customers
branded photo archiving services that are secure,
easy to use, and accessible from any Web browser.
According to Kevin Lalor, who chairs the thinGk.advisory board, service providers
have experienced growing demand from consumer and business
users for Web-based database controls and other desktop applications.
"As the convenience, ease and accessibility of the Internet have increased, it has become an effective platform for delivering applications that have traditionally lived on the personal computer," said Marston. "Our new iMAGER application enables service providers to take advantage of this platform by delivering reliable, Web-based image archiving services, and develop long-term bonds with their customers in the process. We have easily bridged the gap and solved the problem for catalog creation."
Patrice Quinlan, manager and site guide at digisign.com, agreed. "We are pleased to finally be able to offer our customers the databased driven asset management features they have been asking for," said Quinlan."iMAGER from thinGk.net couldn't have come at a better time for our business." iMAGER offers key strategic benefits to help small and medium-sized service providers compete with comparable offerings from larger services and portals, including:
- Complete functionality to attract and retain customers
- A customizable interface for building branded identity
- Web browser access to eliminate client setup requirements
and reduce user support costs
The iMAGER may
be quickly deployed on any existing website, separately or as one single
offering. thinGk.net is currently offering iMAGER
to customers that host on their server at a promotional discount.
